Our ideal candidate is passionate about dogs, comfortable with medium to larger-sized breeds, and capable of providing engaging and energetic walks.
Responsibilities:
Walking dogs of various breeds and sizes, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
Providing stimulating and enjoyable walks tailored to each dog's needs, which may include longer neighborhood walks or challenging hikes.
Maintaining control of dogs on walks, using appropriate leashes and techniques to manage behavior.
Monitoring dogs for any signs of distress, illness, or injury and promptly reporting any concerns to the owner.
On occasion, able to dog sit if owner is scheduled to travel out of town.
Requirements:
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation if needed.
Genuine love for dogs and a compassionate attitude towards animals.
Comfortable working with medium to larger-sized dogs, including those with strong personalities.
Physical fitness and stamina to handle longer walks or hikes, sometimes over varied terrain.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow instructions closely.
Reliability and punctuality, with the flexibility to accommodate varying schedules with the owner.
